Partnerships

Rural Arts Journal considers collaborations that are relevant to rural arts and clearly distinguishable from editorial coverage. A commercial relationship does not buy an editorial conclusion.

Possible collaborations

Proposals may include clearly labelled partner placements across the site or a defined collaboration connected to creative practice, arts spaces, materials or participation. We consider whether the subject suits readers and whether the proposed placement can be described plainly. We do not infer an existing relationship from an organisation or product name.

Clear labelling

Paid, sponsored or partner material is identified where it appears, so readers can tell its status without guessing. Labels will not be buried in vague language. Partner placements do not determine article rankings, guarantee editorial coverage or imply that the publication endorses every claim made by a partner.

Making a proposal

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Explain the subject, proposed format and any relevant commercial interests or materials. Proposals are considered individually; sending one does not create an agreement or guarantee a placement.

Our point of view

Art changes with the place it inhabits

A field, a borrowed room and a village hall are not interchangeable backdrops. We look at what each makes possible, and what it asks of the work.
